Wess Long

As President of StarGuard ELITE (SGE), Wess oversees all aspects of the company’s industry leading safety training programs and advisory services. SGE serves over 350 clients worldwide, including many of the largest private and public organizations. Prior to joining SGE in 2013, Wess held leadership positions at various levels for many top resorts and waterparks including Atlantis the Palm Dubai, Walt Disney World, and Palace Entertainment. Additionally, Wess has worked with aquatic facilities of every type providing support for initial concept, construction, operational development, safety consulting, staff training, and regulatory compliance. Wess currently serves on the WWA’s Board of Directors and on a variety of industry committees relating to operational safety, bather surveillance, and regulatory compliance. Additionally Wess speaks at industry conferences and trainings around the world. Wess was the recipient of WWA’s Kelly Ogle Memorial Safety Award 2020 and Aquatic International’s Power Award in 2021.
