Social Frames

Advocate for Water Safety With These Social Frames!

Download your social profile frame designs and add them to your social media accounts using the instructions below.

  1. Click the “Download Profile Frames” button above to access the premade social profile frames in Canva. (If you don’t have Canva.com account you can create an account for free).
  2. In the new browser window that opens click the purple USE TEMPLATE button at the bottom.
  3. Log into your existing Canva.com account or create a new account for free to access the template.
  4. Scroll to the page of the profile frame design you want to use.
  5. From the menu on the left-hand side, click on UPLOADS, then click the UPLOAD MEDIA button. Choose your profile/headshot photo from your computer and click OPEN.
  6. Once uploaded, click your picture to insert the photo into the template.
  7. Hover your mouse over your photo in the design area. Right-mouse click on your photo and from the fly-out menu select SEND BACKWARD.
  8. Click and drag on the corners of your photo to resize your photo so it fills the frame. Click and drag the inside of your photo to move it around and center it.
    (Note: It’s ok that the background shows beyond the frame, this will not be visible once uploaded to your social profile.)
  9. Once satisfied with your profile frame, go to the top right-hand corner and click DOWNLOAD.
  10. From the dropdown select the FILE TYPE dropdown and choose JPEG, your size should be set to 1, which means the photo is 800 x 800 pixels. Your quality level should be set to 80 or LARGE.
  11. From the SELECT PAGES dropdown check only the profile frame designs that you want to download and click DONE.
  12. From there click the DOWNLOAD button to save your new profile frame image to the downloads folder on your computer.
  13. Log in to your LinkedIn, FaceBook, and Instagram accounts to replace your existing profile image with your new frame!
  1. Log into your FaceBook account and hover your mouse over your existing profile picture so the UPDATE PROFILE PICTURE button appears.
  2. Click the UPDATE PROFILE PICTURE button.
  3. Select UPLOAD PHOTO.
  4. Select the Profile Frame Image you just downloaded from Canva, and click OPEN.
  5. When you’re happy with the positioning, click USE AS PROFILE PICTURE.
  1. Log into your Instagram account and go to your profile page.
  2. Click on your current profile photo.
  3. In the new window, click UPLOAD PHOTO.
  4. Select the Profile Frame Image you just downloaded from Canva, and click OPEN.
  1. Log into your LinkedIn account and go to your profile page.
  2. Click on your current profile photo.
  3. In the pop-up window at the bottom click ADD PHOTO.
  4. In the new window click UPLOAD PHOTO.
  5. Select the Profile Frame Image you just downloaded from Canva, and click OPEN.
  6. Crop and adjust the photo using the ZOOM feature.
  7. Click SAVE PHOTO.
