Over 35 years of lifeguarding experience in the open ocean environment. Retired Lieutenant/supervisor for the City and County of Honolulu – Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division. Currently employed as the Aquatics Director and Chief Lifeguard at MCBH (Marine Corps Base Hawaii), in charge of the administration and operational requirements of recreational beaches and swimming pools. Co-Chair of the workgroup tasked with writing the State of Hawaii Water Safety/Drowning Prevention Strategic/Action Plan to be completed and widely disseminated in 2024.
