The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation’s mission is to educate children and adults worldwide about water safety through the utilization of drowning prevention campaigns & early childhood water safety training. Our vision is the elimination of drowning through water safety education and awareness by fostering a generational change in the way children and adults perceive bodies of water.
The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation accomplishes this mission via two programs: Josh the Otter and Float 4 Life. Josh the Otter is a literacy program utilized in grade schools across the country to teach children about water safety and begin the water safety conversation at home. Float 4 Life is a program designed to teach children physical skills, such as back floating, to survive a water-related incident.
