Founder

Dana Gage founded The LV Project in 2012, following the preventable drowning of her 15-year-old son, Connor, at a lake birthday party. The LV Project is dedicated to buoyancy, on water and in life, and focuses on open water safety and the importance of life vests. The LV Project also completes projects that give people in need a lift. Previously, Dana’s career was based in the sports and media business, where she held a variety of corporate marketing positions, including 20 years with Chicago-based Tribune Company. She’s an active member of the water safety community, serving on various boards and frequently presenting on the topic of teen / adult drownings. Dana graduated Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Marketing. She and her husband live in North Richland Hills, Texas. Her son, Riley, is a Baylor University graduate and makes his home in Waco, Texas.
