Cody Jones

Asst. Commander Game Warden Cody Jones is a 23-year law enforcement veteran and has served the last 13 years as the state of Texas Boating Law Administrator where he focuses on keeping the waters of Texas safe. An active member of the USCG Boating Safety Advisory Committee, NASBLA Executive Board, and Prevent Child Injury Organization among many others, he has passionately served and delivered high-quality results in the realm of keeping people safe on our nation’s waterways. Cody holds a Bachelor of Science from Sul Ross State University and a Master of Public Safety from the University of Virginia. Cody is a graduate of the 282nd FBI National Academy and has had the honor of attaining many state and national leadership training accolades in his career. Cody has been honored over the years with several recognitions for his work in water safety to include the 2021 Ripple Award from NDPA.
