Letter from the 2014 Educational Conference Chair

Sue Nelson – NDPA – Secretary

Conference theme ideas are a source of inspiration for the people organizing events as well as the audience who attend the event.

This year’s theme “Dare to Ask” inspired all of us before and during the conference. It allowed us to go outside the box of what we normally would. I have been pleased to receive emails that attendees are literally carrying on the “Dare to Ask” theme into their daily lives.  I want to thank all presenters for giving of the time and especially the ones who incorporated the “Dare to Ask” into their presentations.

The NDPA Board is very pleased with the number of attendees who participated in the post conference surveys. There were many great comments and we also appreciate the ideas that were offered for next year.  We are taking all of these ideas into consideration as we actively start planning the 2015 Annual Conference.  These ideas will help us to build towards our mission to be the leading source for all drowning prevention advocates.
